The Search Institute bridges research and practice to help young people be and become their best selves through the 40 Developmental Assets. The HACC can provide an overview presentation on the Assets and how they can be used.
SafeTALK is a half day alertness training that prepares anyone 15 or older, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper. Most people with thoughts of suicide don’t truly want to die, but are struggling with the pain in their lives. Through their words and actions, they invite help to stay alive.

The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24-7 to help. Anyone may talk on the phone or text with a real person, anonymously or not, for as long as they need it. They also have some great resources on how to spot if someone is thinking about suicide, how to prevent it, and steps to improve mental health.
