The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is available 24-7 to help. Anyone can talk on the phone or text with a real person, anonymously or not, for as long as they need it. They also have some great resources on how to spot if someone is thinking about suicide, how to prevent it, and steps to improve mental health.

SafeTALK is a half day alertness training that prepares anyone 15 or older, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper. Most people with thoughts of suicide don’t truly want to die, but are struggling with the pain in their lives. Through their words and actions, they invite help to stay alive.
Common Ground is a 24-hour crisis services agency dedicated to helping youths, adults, and families in crisis. Through their crisis line and in person, they provide professional and compassionate service to more than 80,000 people each year.
Ok2Say is not only a way to report threats of school violence, but can also be used to get yourself or someone you know help for suicidal ideation.
